Representatives of the Center for Progress and the Movement for the People met with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Nunu Mitskevich to discuss the halving of tuition fees and the problems of suspended students.

Arguments were presented at the meeting as to what challenges the students faced as a result of the difficult socio-economic situation created by the pandemic.
The Ministry presented its vision regarding the suspended students.

Both parties agreed that the existing mechanisms do not adequately ensure the identification of students with financial problems, which is why it is necessary to change the funding model and create additional research tools.
For the protection of students’ rights, the parties also agreed to continue their cooperation.
