The Center for Progress continues to provide legal assistance to the striking employees of JSC “Rustavi Azot”.

After a two-day strike, the Rustavi administration agreed to meet with the staff, where they would have to respond to the main request. The demand was for a wage to be increased due to the current difficult socio-economic situation.
However, the management of “Rustavi Azoti” unreasonably told the striking employees to refuse their request!

As part of the legal assistance, we wrote to the Ministry of Health to appoint a mediator by the Ministry during the negotiations between the striking employees and the administration. The appointment of a mediator and the commencement of mediation, given the wide scale of the process, will facilitate important decisions for the parties and ensure that the staff continues the working process as soon as the demand for a salary increase is met.

We are waiting for the answer of the Ministry of Health and it is important to get the answer as soon as possible.
